kh_drabbleTitle: Lost and Found; The Traveller

Rating/Warnings: PG, angst and sappiness and the attempted jerking of tears
Notes: It's kind of nostalgic, really. I haven't posted here this often in a long, long time. Time-frame is post KHII.
The DI trio meet an unusual someone and give him a lift. Disney refs. Part one of two (possibly three). Cookies to anyone who can figure out who this guy is before part two, but please don't spoil the surprise.

"So, why'd you leave Disney Town?" Sora grinned at their hitchhiker, standing tip-toe near the forward windows to look at the stars. "I mean, the King's always going on trips, exploring, and Pete was banished because he started working with Maleficent, but I don't think anyone else leaves unless it's Donald and Goofy... or Scrooge... or Donald's nephews..." and Sora trailed off because the question was beginning to sound stupid even to him. Long ears, covered by appropriately sized protrusions in the hood of his black coat, twitched. The traveler continued to face the window, gloved fingers pressed to the glass, but that much had been obvious.
"W-" his voice quavered, but he swallowed audibly and tried again. "What makes you think I'm from Disney Town?"
Sora smirked at Kairi. It was obvious. Anthropomorphic animal body, short in stature, high pitched voice. He was kind of... funny. Not in a bad way- in the way that even when things were seriously tense he just kind of... lightened the atmosphere.
He reminded Sora of the King.
"You look like the type?" He shrugged. Not to mention it was where he'd asked to go when they had offered the ride. "We have friends there- Donald and Goofy and Queen Minnie and King Mickey-"
The ears twitched again, more slowly. "King Mickey... King. Well, don't that beat all," he said, and it wasn't a question.
Sora caught Riku's expression and the slow shake of his head that meant 'stop talking. Right now. Stop.' Sora opened his mouth. Riku put more eyebrow in the glare. Sora shut his mouth again.
Their passenger turned. Sora took in huge, dark eyes above a muzzle covered in short fur. It was white over the face, outlined by a peak of black in the center of his forehead that curved over his eyebrows. Another similarity to Goofy and the Queen and the King and, well, lots of people from Disneytown. How could this guy not be from there? Four-fingered hands closed nervously around silver tassels on his darkness-proof (not Organization XIII) coat. The furred visage was pensive.
"Once upon a time," he began, staring at the floor of the gummi ship, "there was just the one world." He looked up. "D'you know that story?"
Kairi spoke up. "People lived in the Light, and loved it so... but then, one day they began to fight over it-"
He nodded. "It got lost, but not forever. People found the Light again in the hearts of children." He shook his head, ears waving slowly with the movement. "I'm not from Disney Town- but a long time ago, before it was Disney Town...." Then he smiled, just a little.
He looked so much like the King. It was weird.
"Guess you could say I... got lost."
Lights flickered on the console and their Navi-G beeped softly. Sora glanced out the windshield. He could feel the smile Riku was giving their new friend- he was wearing it on his own face. The lost one turned quickly, pressing himself as close to the window and the little world as he could.
"Then," Sora murmured, flicking the switches and beginning the jump sequence, "welcome home."
