Eye of the Storm
Challenge; [030] Silence
Title; Eye of the Storm
Word Count; 192
Notes; Slightly weird pairing. Also Chain of Memories-centric.
"Doesn't it scare you?"
He had to grab her hand to stop its endless tracing over the center of his chest, and Naminé looked up at him with her blue, blue eyes, curiousity taking over fear for once. It was odd, really, that he would allow her to touch him, but then he was feeling strangely generous. Peaceful, even. There was no need to prove himself with Naminé.
"Does what scare me?" He asked back, smiling and making Naminé duck her pretty blond head. Her hand went back to where his heart was supposed to lie, pressing down almost daringly to impress on him her next words.
"The absence of your heart."
"Why should I be scared?" He leaned forward, lips brushing her cheek as she turned her face, his body pressing against hers, feeling the nervous flutter against his silent chest, "when I have yours to fill in the loneliness?"
Naminé only sighed quietly in response, wrapping lily-white arms around him, reveling in the cold warmth in the eye of the storm, while Marluxia nuzzled the throbbing pulse point in her throat, which he would never possess, and laughed to swallow the rest of the silence.
