[MOD] Regarding KH2 icons

Okay, Kingdom Hearts II is officially out! Unfortunately, this is not a mod post to inform you that the icon ban has been lifted from this community, but rather, a mod post to inform you guys that we're EXTENDING the icon ban until the end of April.

But wait! Before you kill us, please listen to our reasons. Yes, a lot of die-hard KHII fans would have probably gotten the game either by today, tomorrow or sometime within the rest of this week. But some people may not be able to get the game because of various reasons, such as financial issues and regional issues and admit it, you're not going to finish the game in one night, no matter how awesome a gamer you are. So, the ban will stay for the sake of those people.

But, we're just going to extend the ban until the end of April. Just one more measly month, we promise! You've already endured three months, one more won't hurt. After that, we'll put up a poll and ask everyone whether you want to end the ban, or continue it, and we'll go with those results. But for now, the ban is still in effect, and will be until the END of April.

So don't kill us, please. ^__^;;;

You know, it would be nice if you would respect people who are in other countries as well after this. KHII may be released in the US, but the US isn't the whole world and I won't be getting my hands on KHII for quite a while, unless some incredibly rich American buys me an American PS2 and the game, you know?

If you're going to respect the US and let them be spoiler-free, how about having the same respect for the rest of the world? You can't just go half way like that. :/

Actually, I don't live in the US either. I live in Asia. Again, we're walking a line here. People do want to use icons, and technically, the original end-date for the spoiler ban is when KH2 comes out. But we're already extending the ban to see how people are going to react to it, and maybe at the end of the month of April we might put up a poll to let the comm decide whether they want to keep the ban, or whether they want it to end.

We're trying to be considerate to both sides.

Never mind, then. I don't think being spoiler-free is that hard, but if people don't like it, then in the end I can always leave the community if I'm being spoiled for KHII, can't I? *shrugs* Thank you for your consideration. :)

I suppose it's a good idea. I got the import so I've been wanting to use my spoiler icons for a while, but I can use them other places as well.

Also, I'm sure there's to be lots of jerks posting icons of the ending and secret movie just to brag "I beat it in 3 days!" So it's nice to know there is a safe place.

Also, thanks for the new comm, I'll join, I've been looking for a KH fic rec comm. I think we'll need it in the coming months when we'll get swarmed with fiction.

I agree with the rule, actually, even if I have already played the Japanese version of KHII. I wouldn't want anyone to spoil it for me, so I wouldn't spoil it for others :)

And I'm gonna join the new community now, I hope it becomes very successful! :D

I was actually very happy to see you had a spoiler icon free community. I've been avoiding KH lj comms like the plague to keep myself unspoiled until I finished the game. And it has been worth the effort so far.

The new community looks interesting, and could be very helpful. I do believe I will join it.
