Not for the challenge, but I thought this pairing needed some love.
Title; Sing For Me
Word Count; 113
He can hear her singing.
She doesn’t know the words, merely the tune, and her notes are far from perfect as she hums and croons to herself, her attention on the sail she’s piecing together with her girlish hands and old bed sheets their parents had tried to throw away.
But despite her off-key voice, he smiles and sits beside her, arms encircling her tiny waist to hold her close.
Kairi turns her head, the song dying on her lips and replaced with a kiss, fingers forgetting about her project and caught up in the moment.
Riku breaks the kiss, eyes half-closed with a grin as he touches her hair. “Sing for me.”
