Challenge: [74] Mistake
Title: Addled Impasse.
Word Count:148
Stuff: Saïx, reconsidering. Mebbe some spoilers.
He remembers a tearing, then a rapturous gibbering that grew louder as the beat of his heart grew softer, further away – distant thunder being swallowed by the storm.
He remembers falling, his body stretching, warping in the darkness, losing shape until he recoiled from the void, sank his hands into the silence, held fast to the human form he took for granted would always be his.
He remembers howling into the nothing, refusing to fade.
He knows time passed as he held on for (could it be called?) life, until the rain, and the cold, and the bare stone under his knees. Until a man in a black coat called him to serve, and he answered to a new name.
He remembers the first time he saw the fragments of holy light shining in the sky. Kingdom Hearts, he whispered, and knew that he would never doubt again.
