Title: Scars

Note: I tried to make it an even 100 words, but I failed! *shame* D:
She didn't notice until a week later, on one of those nights when she crept into his bedroom to make sure he was really there; really home. He lay sprawled on top of the covers with no shirt, like any normal sleeping teenager.
Except in the moonlight she finally saw the white marks on his back, shoulders and sides, where the cure spells had worked mostly but not completely. Like hundreds of unfinished tic-tac-toe games across his skin.
She said nothing until the next morning, when he tromped down the stairs with his untouched smile. "What's for breakfast?"
She began to cry. His smile became a concerned frown. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," she gasped between sobs. "It's nothing."
