Their smiles consume him.
He stands quietly with Axel, black cloaks contrasting like grime against the sunset walls and twilight ground. They are grinning, making a noise Axel later explains to him is 'laughter'. He doesn't understand. He's never seen anyone his age -- Xion could be any number of years old -- and so the revelation that right here, in lazy little Twilight Town are other teenagers is baffling.
They don't pay any attention to the Nobodies -- Somebodies never seem to unless forced to. They simply... go. And Roxas watches them, blue eyes following them as they run by.
They smile, but it's not like the one he's seen Marluxia wear or Larxene's unsettling one.
Theirs feel real, and he frowns.
Why can't he be real, too?
