Yay! Someone else likes it~ Asking for permission is simply polite, and obviously the people are saying yes! It makes sense to you for the same reason it made sense to me, but I haven't a clue what that is either. I never really got the impression of the Heartless as malignant, just hungry, and my writing reflects that.
