Challenge: Favorite
Title: Why me.
Word Count:100+
Disclaimer: I don’t own Kingdom Hearts.
Pairings/characters: Riku/Sora orientated. Sort of.
A/N: my first challenge ever! *crosses fingers*
“Why me?” he asks the darkness before him, vast space of nothingness stretching far beyond the eye can see, empty like his heart, and like his soul drawn out forever and ever like he wasn’t allowed to die.
And it just swirled in myriads of colors, moans, emotions and infinite nothingness. Not able to silence the maddening question that now kept repeating itself in his mind, over and over and each time, those words pushing him further over the edge. Why me?
“Do you want to know why?”
“Why…”
“Why me?”
And then the darkness answers him when it tasted a tear from a heart it can never really capture so long as the child of light keeps on living. Only he held total power over this heart, only he was the key to this soul.
So when the child of the dark asks again in whispers “Why me?” a pair of lips briefly brush over his ear, feather-like touch that made his very soul cringe. They answer:
“Because in truth, you are light...”
“Darkness is drawn to light, so its worst enemy is also its most favorite.”
