::title:: Materia Girl.
::rating/characters:: G and Yuffie.
::spoilers?:: None.
::word count:: 100.
::challenge:: [50] Nostalgia.
It's a little weird, spur-of-the-moment thing.
Yuffie's nostalgic about home.
It washes over her like an illness, ingested nausia rolling in waves from the palm of her hand. Tears roll hot and sticky down her cheeks; she sucks on her fingertips while the cobblestone streets are cold on the bottoms of bare feet and the night air is unnaturally warm against the skin of her shoulders. There's a marble under her thumb, smooth and green and rumbling, humming, aching, and it casts cool, painful webs of memories up her arm and down the small of her back, gripping her middle tight and refusing to ever let go.
