Title: Tanned Palms

He looks at his fingers, tan lines from his gloves crossing his palm, and presses it to the palm of the girl beside him. They share something deeper than skin, and yet, they find themselves pulled in by legends of old lore.
They smile over the fruit that is held between them, raising it and biting into it at the same time. Her lips meet his as their teeth tear the fruit, sticky-sweet juice running down over their chins as their noses bump slightly.
She giggles, pulling back slowly, and as the sun sets over Destiny Islands, the hands of Fate draw them nearer.
