Challenge Dust
Title What Remains

Notes I'm sorry. ;-; I'm a Naminé fan, so of course, all my drabbles are about her. XD

She looked up at it.

The mansion stood sorrowfully at the edge of non-existence. The dark forest behind her and the eternal sunset bringing down the light and bringing up the shadows on the house where once things existed, even in a somewhat broken form. Even the pseudo-dying light, it was prominent.

"Yes, come back to me, Naminé, I'm quite lonesome," it probably beckoned.

She entered it.

The room in which she always stayed was somehow different. Everything was still white and beautiful. It was still pristine without a mess or fuss. The walls still contained the drawings she'd done. The table was still bare, save for the sketchpad still there. The difference was dust.

The layer of dust was obvious. It was not the brown dust that humans created. It was the grey dust from age. Everything had a thin layer of it, even the floor. Her small feet and quite footsteps left subtle prints as she went towards the table. She saw the layer of dust and was intrigued. She pointed her slender finger at it, and then poked the table. She had left a dot in the dust.

She had an idea.

She drew in the dust on the table. She drew Sora, and Kairi, and Roxas, and Riku, and herself all together, all holding hands, as the sun was in the sky and the trees were around them. When she was finished she blew off the dust that remained on her finger, and she smiled, nearly giggled, at it. She walked away then.

And it was so.
