Challenge [85] Alive
Title Knowing What It Feels Like
Word Count 287
Notes Characters include Number 6 and Ienzo >;3
All was black and cold. It was dark in the abyss, and VI couldn't find bearings. Floating is what it felt like, but he knew he had just now walked through a door. Endless darkness flew around like a sea of black, and never once did the light show until the smallest shine peeked out from behind a dark object far off into the abyss. He felt something beneath his feet, and he felt straight, upright, and walking.
The path was alit, and the white stone rapidly showed itself in the darkness as the luminescence burnt away the black. He followed it with his eyes and saw the door shine like a beacon in the dark, next to the glowing thing he had seen from afar. He felt nothing. After all, Nobodies did. It was the fate of a Nobody. But he knew what this was. He stepped in front of it, and as the light died, the glow that shone a pale colour passed through his chest.
VI felt immense pain as he burned alive, the world fading fast, and the darkness clouding everything. His Nobody shell tried to imitate what it knew to be fear, but everything black and unknowing and dead swallowed him up.
He opened his eyes, feeling unsure. It was bright. A window. Sunlight. A completely different surrounding now. He stood slowly, anticipating the unknowing. He stood in front of the silvery glass and nearly sobbed. He didn't look the same at all. He wasn't the same in his mind or body or spirit. He was—
"Ienzo! I've been looking for you everywhere!!"
He was embraced by someone he knew, and he felt love. He felt relief and harmony. He felt alive.
