Challenge - Ever After

Notes - Placed a bit before Sora's arrival in Hallow Bastion.
Looking over Hallow Bastion now, Riku couldn’t help but scowl silently. The place was in ruins, just as it had been when he’d first come here. Towers were crumbling, layers of plaster and rock falling away to reveal bruised wiring, twisted wisps of smoke filtering out into the air…

Absently, he flipped his hair over his shoulder, turning his back on the image of the collapsing manor. Even in the place where dreams were born, there was no happily ever after…
