Challenge: [215] Begin at the End
Title: Ouroboros.
Word Count: 130.
Spoilers: Blink-and-you'll-miss-it for Days.
Characters: Aqua, Terra, and Ven; Xion, Axel, and Roxas; Kairi, Riku, and Sora.
Summary: On and on the story goes, but it keeps coming back to the same place.
Two boys and a girl watched the sun go down over a dreaming sea. She smiled like the lapping of waves against the dock, he laughed like deep bells ringing, he looked into the sunset unblinking.
Two boys who are not and a girl who is even less watch the eternal twilight on the deep blue sea. She smiles like stained glass breaking, he laughs like a battle banner, he looks out into forever as though he can see through the world to the answers beneath.
Two boys and a girl will watch the sun go down over their familiar sea. She will smile like opening flowers on a spring morning, he will laugh like a trumpet fanfare, he will look at the horizon once again for the first time.

Ouch, and at the same time, wow. Love the parallels, and the second paragraph is particularly lovely.

I loved the ending so much and it was expectional. Really. :)
