Challenge: Odd Pairings
Title: Mesmerized

Author Notes: I like this drabble, though it's boring. I also like this pairing, odd as it may seem. I'm becoming addicted to writing it. Go figure. Anyway, anything's possible since she'll be in KH2...

The screaming fans were almost too much for Riku to take. He wasn't used to so many people, being from his small island. Not even during his travels had he encountered such a large crowd. The lights flashed randomly, blinding him when they hit.

He pushed through the moshing group. The bronze statue-esque creature holding up the platform in front of him vaguely resembled an obese monkey playing the drums. Band members zoomed by on flying terraces, skillfully playing their guitars.

Suddenly the lights focused on the woman onstage. Riku was caught off guard immediately by her beauty, even from a distance. Despite the cheering fans. Despite the glaring spotlights. He watched, enchanted by her movements, enchanted by her voice, enchanted by her.

Later, after the act ended, he confronted a flushed and chattering fan, asking who the performer was. "Lady Yuna, of course! Wasn't she wonderful?" The teenager swooned, his eyes sparkling.

Riku didn't answer, retreating into himself. He remembered her face and silently decided that her name was just as perfect. "Lady Yuna."
