Title: Once Upon a Time
Summary: Everyone has their story...

Spoilers: Ever so slightly for 358/2, BBS, and Coded.
Notes: I'm back~ XD This was fun to write--I love fairy tales. The title is very original, I know. >_<
Once upon a time there were two friends.
One lived in light. He followed his master’s teachings, working to preserve the order of the worlds and keep the darkness at bay. Eventually he took on three students, training them to follow in his footsteps. Having never been required to struggle with the darkness in his own heart, though, he was unable to help them master theirs.
One walked in shadow. He turned his back on master and friend, seeking a way to change the worlds. The one student he kept was only part of a whole--the darkness of a heart given form. His contempt of the light left him without understanding of its strengths, and led to the downfall of his plan.

Once upon a time a Keyblade Master left that path. He became a powerful magician, safe to guide others who made their way to his tower.

Once upon a time there were three best friends.
One had only half a heart, borrowing from another to make his whole--until he found his darkness during a battle that shattered them both. He fell into sleep, sheltered by a heart that had welcomed his before.
One fought to push away his darkness, rid himself of it completely--until his trust was betrayed, and it overwhelmed him. He fell into limbo, only able to watch as another heart controlled his form.
One could only watch as the others struggled, helping as best she could--until it was all too late, and she alone was left. She fell into darkness, wandering lost, though not alone with her friends’ hearts to guide her.

Once upon a time there was a king who left his safe castle of light to save other worlds. He became a guide and friend to heroes.

Once upon a time there were three best friends.
One was a mirror, built in the image of another. Rather than be used as a puppet, she let herself shatter, letting the shards serve to rebuild another’s heart.
One was half of a greater whole, unaware he was being used until it was too late. With no other choice remaining, he faded, letting his Other’s heart be mended.
One was torn between two sides, his past set against his present. Trying to save both his friends but saving neither, he faded, burning to save the one whose heart held theirs.

Once upon a time a witch was forced to play the role of the princess. She used her magic to heal the hurt she caused, and lead a hero to others in need.

Once upon a time there were three best friends.
One set off on an adventure to see new worlds. He succumbed to the darkness, but found a path back to the light with the help of his friends.
One was taken on an adventure, then returned. Tired of waiting for her friends, she set off to find them and guide them on their way home.
One was chosen for an adventure to save the worlds. Journeying through the stars, he set off to help his friends, the fallen, and the faded.
