Title: A Quiet Start.
Word Count: 250.
Note: Sorry about the length...
Sora stood there, staring at the new girl, with her semi-long, red hair and large eyes. He was gazing at her for more than a moment, which, frankly, was beginning to worry her.
“Hi, my name’s Sora,” he began, taking a few steps closer. “What’s yours?” The girl lowered her head and gingerly moved back a pace. He kept on gawking at her, waiting for a reply. “Er… Hi, I’m Sora. Who are you?”
Once again, she refused to reply, only to lower her head further, creating a shadow over her forehead and eyes.
Something hit the young boy on the side of his head. “Cheater!” he exclaimed as he lifted the paper aeroplane and scrunched it as hard as his little hands could. “I wasn’t ready!”
“Who’s she?” Riku quietly asked as he approached.
“I ‘unno,” Sora shrugged, shifting his eyes back on the girl. “She’s not talking… Are you new here?” he, once again, asked, but received no reply. “See!”
Riku pushed Sora onto the ground, gently. “I’m Riku! Who are you?”
The red-head finally broke away from the invisible force that had locked her down, and ran off back into her house. “Wait!” Sora exclaimed as he got up, only to trip over his laces. “You scared her away!”
“Do you fancy her?” he teased.
“No!”
“Then why do you care?”
Sora scowled and folded his arms. “She had nice hair, thas’ all.” Riku laughed and flicked his friend’s forehead. “Stop bullying me, or I’ll your Mum!”
