Nightwatch
While kin sleep fretfully and dream old dreams of fear and shadow,
he walks the twisted thorn-threaded towers, wolf's-blade in hand.
No more the black and bloody tatters,
the sullen rags of the homeless and forsaken.
His colors are reclaimed; blue of steel and the wolf-grey iron.
Let them rest, now, let them sleep.
He has brushed the darkness in his folly;
let him guard them from its talons now.
