Title: To feel whole again
Word Count: 198
Characters: Riku, Sora
Notes: no spoilers, fairly innocent. Enjoy!
He wondered what it felt like to feel whole; he never thought he was before. But to feel the void that’s been eating his heart fill up with what he couldn’t even remember losing to begin with must be a lot warmer than this cold hell.
He noticed this when the darkness first presented itself to him and left him with an ominous decision to make, felt it even stronger when he first fought his best friend, felt it pang painfully in his chest when he learnt that even with all that has happened between him and Sora that Sora was still out there looking for him, even if he needed to search all corners of the worlds to find him again.
It made Riku cry knowing this, fall to his knees and wait hopefully for the day he feels whole again. Just like before when he never even knew he was among the warmth of his home and friends nearby. But waiting like this helplessly would not do him and the king any good and tries to pick the pieces of his heart that he himself crumbled, and hold it together for Sora to come and fill.
