There's a reason they fight together.

They're not sure they can put it into words, or not yet, anyway, but it's easy to understand anyway. They make each other feel secure, they cover each other's backs, and they fill that tiny void neither of them admits to that both of them have.

The scuff of Cloud's boots on Coliseum sand calls Leon back to himself, and he looks up to see Cloud standing there, offering a hand to help him get up. He doesn't bother with greetings or questions, just draws him out of his thoughts and offers to give him a hand up, as if his thoughts don't matter -- and maybe they don't.

They go back to the place Leon wouldn't exactly call home before they even speak to each other, but it's not an uncomfortable silence, though nobody would call it comfortable, either. It's just silence, and neither of them minds it.

And when Leon breaks the silence, it's with practicality. "Any injuries?"

"No. You?" Cloud keeps the practicality, but at the same time he's moving towards Leon, pushing him back into the bedroom and closing the door after them. Leon shakes his head, tilting it up and kissing Cloud, wrapping his arms tight around his neck and pressing close to him. For a moment Cloud just lets himself kiss back and feel the heat of Leon's body through their clothes.

Then he steps away and starts to strip. It's easier that way, and Leon does the same too, and then he straightens up, his clothes in a neat heap on the floor and his hair slightly mussed. Cloud drags him close again and kisses him eagerly, pushes him down to the bed and presses hard against him. It takes a while for Leon to give in, tense and barely responsive under him, but when he does give in it's with a soft moan as he tips his head back and Cloud bites at the junction between his neck and shoulder.

"What do you want?"

It's one of the few unnecessary questions Leon still answers, and he answers it by arching his body up, his voice caught somewhere between a gasp and a growl, "You," and a shiver runs up and down Cloud's spine at the sight and the sound, and most of all at the feel.

Cloud slicks his fingers and pushes one into Leon, and Leon rocks against it and gasps and curses, pressing closer to Cloud, all but asking for more, and Cloud gives, pushing his fingers into Leon hard and fast, twisting in just the right way. And then he gives more, pulling his fingers out of Leon and pressing his cock against his entrance to push in so slowly that Leon moans, writhing and arching under him, but loving it really, loving it more than anything.

"Okay?" Cloud asks, his breath hitching when he tries to get a deep breath, and when Leon squeezes around him he moans and starts to move, kissing Leon, nipping at his lip, running his hands down his chest and teasing at his nipples while he thrusts so hard into him that Leon is unable to do anything but writhe and moan and wordlessly beg for more.

Cloud fucks him hard, and strokes his cock fast, just the way he likes it, and when he comes he bites at Leon's shoulder to muffle his cry, and Leon's whole body arches into hand and body and he cries out, his arms wrapping around Cloud tightly and holding on as if for an anchor.
