kh_drabbleChallenge: Yin and Yang
Title: Groups of Grey
Word Count: 250
Characters: Roxas, Riku, Sora, Namine, and Kairi
Pairings: None to me, but to you?
Spoilers: KH2 end spoilers. Sort of.
Sora always used to think that he and Riku were like Yin and Yang. Riku was cool, calm, collected, and desperately wished to leave the islands. Sora was noisy, naive, and thought that adventure sounded pretty okay, but there wasn't too much wrong with the islands. Everything seemed to click that way; Kairi was a pleasant-grey area, and the other island-kids could never come close to getting in on their friendship.
But then some things happened - everything happened - and Sora thinks that his opposite can only be Roxas. Roxas is a lot like Riku, but at the same time, shares traits of Sora's; making a perfect 'dark-side'.
Roxas wears more white than black, while Sora has been leaning towards darker colors as of late. He's completely disinterested in speaking with anyone but Namine and Sora - perhaps Riku or Kairi on a particularly social day. Sora, on the other hand, knows all his neighbors by name, and stops for a quick conversation every time he sees them. Roxas is the smart one, who's voice reluctantly answers homework questions from Sora's heart. Sora is the impulsive one, who drags the blond with him into all sorts of trouble.
Sora also thinks that Roxas is like Namine's darker half - he may be somewhat pale, but she is all whites and light pastels. But Namine is Kairi's dark half - light half? Or maybe Kairi and he are both Riku's light half.
That one makes the most sense.
None of it makes sense.
