Word Count: 653

"I can't believe you dragged me out here Sora."
The youth smiled. "Trick-or-treating will always be fun when you've got friends!"
Sora, dressed in full pirate attire, complete with the dinky wooden sword, paraded across the orange stone paths between the perfectly aligned houses on Destiny Islands. Beside him was Riku, in an Organization XIII outfit, which he claimed was the "only outfit scary enough". Kairi, smiling and having a great time, was on Sora's opposite side, in a short, frilled, plum purple dress, gobs of eyeliner, sparkling, black and purple fairy wings, and uniform combat boots. But the most extravagant outfit by far was Selphie's, who was to Kairi's right, giddy and giggling. She wore a layered, pink spaghetti strap dress with a white feather boa and fake pearls. Her eyelashes were done up with what could be assumed to be a whole container of mascara. She wore aqua blue eye shadow and on her feet, hot pink high heels.
They were quite the sight to see.
"Don't you think we're a little OLD to be trick-or-treating?" Riku huffed, stiffening.
"Riku, you can't be serious! I mean, this is just lke when you told me Santa Clause didn't exist." Riku looked unfazed. "Well, he does," Sora remarked with a quite satisfied smirk. Still nothing from the Riku Peanut Gallery. "And he said hi."
"Sora, it's different. Believing in something and being too old for it are two different things," Riku sighed. Sora pouted.
"I bet you wouldn't say that about getting lollipops after a haircut," Sora grumbled under his breath as Selphie cheerfully knocked on the door to the next house.
"Trick-or-treat!" the four yelled after a little while of waiting.
"Trick," a snide voice replied. The door swung open to reveal a dingy couch potato. He was Riku's age- and he was someone they all knew. "Oh, look, little kids wanting candy! How traditional. And childish." He sneered. "Go away, kiddies. I bet some after school special is waiting for you."
With that, he slammed the door.
"You... you..." Riku reared up and shoved his hand onto the brass doorknob. Kairi's hand followed it.
"Riku! Violence won't solve anything!" She scolded, prying his hand off of the knob.
"How about words?" Riku suggested, eyes glued on the door. "Strong, aggressive, vile ones."
Selphie shook her head, a bit sadly. "Riku, it's Halloween. Lighten up." She giggled at nothing. Kairi glanced at her with a puzzled expression.
"The nerve of that guy!" Sora exclaimed suddenly, as they strolled along the cobblestones once again. "Kaj, right? I've seen him around." He looked over at his friend, but Riku said nothing. Sora looked back ahead.
As they approached the steps to the next porch, Riku stopped dead in his tracks.
"Riku," Selphie called back, "you coming?"
"I have an idea that doesn't involve violence or strong words." Riku said quietly. Kairi half smiled. "Take this." He reached into he pocket Kairi sewed into the cloak for convenience and threw each of his companions a small aluminum bottle of silly string- hot pink for Selphie, neon green for Kairi, aqua for Sora, and saved the tangerine for himself.
"Vandalizing?!" Sora cried, staring at the bottle. He held it up to his ear. "Riku, you said you had no intentions of va-"
"It's not vandalizing." Riku smiled. "It's revenge."

"Trick-or-treat!" Two shrill voices, one squeakier than the other, accompanied by two low, bland voices, echoed through the streets.
"Trick."
The door opened with a loud clang to reveal the messy chestnut hair of the "couchus potatous". He knit his eyebrows in confusion. "You again? I thought I told you-"
"You heard him," Sora breathed, raising the can up with his hand on the release. Kairi, Selphie, and Riku followed suit, the same menacing expression plastered across their faces. He put pressure on the back of the release. "Trick."
