Challenge: [98] Mother
Title: Happy as can be
Word Count: 230
Spoilers: A little dash of Chain of Memories in here.
She sits in her room, drawing away. A mother and daughter, happy as can be. It’s a nice picture, one that Namine wants to be part of. But she’s a nobody, and nobodies don’t have parents. It’s silly, because nobodies aren’t supposed to have feelings. Feelings like happiness, anger, sadness, and love.
She doesn’t know if she has any of those, but she does know that she wants a mom. She wants a mom to hold her at night when she was scared, lullaby her nightmares away, praise her drawings, a parent like that; that was what she wanted. That way, she wouldn’t be scared of Larxene, or Castle Oblivion, or feel worthless because of the fact that she was messing around with a person's entire memories. Her own memories were things of the dreaded castle she was trapped in. Memories of her other were nowhere to be found. She couldn’t even take comfort in a mother she didn’t even know.
Kairi probably had a mom. One who was nice and loving and caring. It was another way of how life was so unfair for a nobody, especially her. She got used, abused, all for the sake of other nobodies.
She sits in her room, drawing away. A mother and daughter, happy as can be. That’s what she wants most, but she can’t have it. She can never have it.
