Because it would be amusing if something like this ever did happen. It's not my best. I just woke up thirty minutes ago xDD
Challenge: Luck
Title: The Bigger They Are
Word Count: 236
One had to wonder just why Sora put himself through this every week. It seemed it had become a ritual beating, which afterwards Selphie and Kairi would attempt to pull splinters out of various body parts.
Today was starting off just like any of those before it. Sora was being thwapped into the ground.
It was in this instance that Riku jumped high into the air, wooden sword poised to inflict maximum damage. Sora, fearing for what remained of his unbruised body, attempted to scramble away.
His foot caught the end of Selphie's abandoned jump rope (to which she would later proclaim "Oh! That's where it went!) which caused it to spin upwards.
The jumprope wrapped quickly around Riku's foot while the other end tangled itself into Sora's large shoe.
Riku landed, unaware of his tie, missing Sora by hardly nothing.
Sora yelped, making another move to run out of Riku's range.
The rope pulled tightly between them. Riku, not expecting anything, had not been prepared for the sudden lack of a foot under him.
This was a very dangerous situation for him, as he was standing on the edge of the isle.
And in that moment of shock, he fell backwards bringing Sora with him.
He landed with a loud splash to be followed by one made by Sora.
Both boys surfaced gasping for air.
Sora was looking at him with an odd grin. "I won." he stated.
Riku frowned. "You fell too." he pointed out crossly.
"But you fell first. So I won." countered Sora with a loud "Whoo-hoo!"
And so, the mighty lost by a technicality.
