Title: A Million Hearts
Note: This came to me as I was editing a music video… No challenge, just inspiration.

“You will all be killed,” said the man. “One by one.”

Xemnas’ eyes widened severely. “Is this what you intended to tell us?” he demanded in his characteristically slow way. The man heard a symphony of clinks and scrapes, and knew that every weapon they possessed had just materialized.

“Let me explain,” he said hastily. “It will be televised, and—“

Being murdered on national television did not sit much better with his audience. Larxene fingered a particularly nasty looking knife, kissing it with a spark of electricity. The man looked almost frantic, but he managed to keep his voice calm.

“It is the understanding of my organization that your Organization is in need of Hearts…” He nodded to Xemnas, who nodded back, though his eyes were dangerously narrowed. “And we intend to give those to you. Millions of them.”

Nobody could deny that it sounded tempting. Even Larxene had momentarily forgotten her wrath.

“We will tell your story,” the man continued. “Weave it into a game. And the people who play it will see you, and get to know you. They will unite in your name, build their virtual communities around you, paint your likenesses in every medium. They will love you, and when they see you die their hearts will go out to you.”

“And how many people are gonna play this game?” Luxord asked.

“Our markets are estimating millions worldwide.”

Millions… The word volleyed between the Nobodies with a thrill.

“And their hearts will belong to you.”

I needed something to laugh at with the night I had at work, too. Thank you. <3 It is also amazingly, creepily fitting - you did a great job making sure the clips matched up with the words?

Somehow, Xemnas speaking in that voice is somewhat creepier than usual. Like something has gone very wrong with him, such that the other Org. members are off somewhere debating what to do about it. XD
