Title: The deserted home

Spoilers: None, this is an AU after all. (sorta)
Notes: AU, Oh come on, who else would be an ‘expert’ on ashes? Definitely not my best entry... :/
Roxas got the ashes a few days after the incident. They were in a cardboard box in a small plastic bag. The ashes were heavier than he expected, and he couldn’t help thinking that he’d thought there’d be more. He’d assumed that the human body -even ashes of one- would have more mass to it. Even though he knew exactly how much ash the human body produces. He sat at his -their- kitchen table and he stared at the cardboard box with the name printed neatly on the front.
Something like this is supposed to matter Roxas muses still staring at the box. Or at least make more of an impact than it was. It’s actually kind of pathetic; they’re all human after all, even those with no hearts. And the ashes are all the same. Roxas has seen plenty of ashes so he considers himself a sort of expert. The other expert is lying in the box sitting on his kitchen table in his -their- empty house.
