He stares at the star-laden sky, childishly hoping that one day he’ll be as bright and important as them, if not more.

Little does he know that his fate only leads him to where the stars don’t shine. 
 
By the way, I've never received a banner for my winning submission for the "Conflict" drabble contest. Is the banner maker still here?

I'm not even going to attempt to guess, I always fail the guessing game.
BUT. It's beautiful in the fact that it is fairly ambiguous (not in a bad way at all, I think you're giving the readers more freedom the picture who they want)
