Challenge: [239] Inexorable
Title: The Impossible Race
Word Count: 90
For the first time—but not the last—Sora looks at the back of Riku's head and wonders if he'll ever chase anything else.
He's very young, the first time he wonders. He’s at the age when every dark corner is still mysterious, and not simply dark. The age when the joy (or the horror) is not in finding out what might be hiding, but in wondering.
So he wonders if he'll ever chase anything else. And he wonders if he'll ever want to.
