Challenge: [267] Left Behind
Title: Come Find Me
Word Count: 358
Notes: Ah, I loved this prompt so much. (: By the way, there are some BbS spoilers, so watch out!
Somewhere, in a land of departure that was left to be lost in oblivion, there is a path.
If the path is taken correctly, you will find yourself at a Castle of Oblivion.
The Castle will open it's doors to you, and your mind will be practically screaming at you to turn back.
But you don't.
You go on.
The entire castle is covered in marble, to soothe your senses, to assure you that all is good here. Nothing to harm you.
But that's not true.
Abandoned, and empty. But something just doesn't feel right. You look behind you, there's nothing there.
You make sure to check every corner.
Nothing.
"Come find me."
You may spend endless hours and days in the Castle, searching and searching but you find yourself falling in a circle.
When he speaks to you, his voice is almost heavenly compared to the darkness that lurks in the Castle. But after so long, when the same three words being repeated over and over it's almost like he's teasing you.
But you're here for other reasons, don't waste your time.
"Come find me."
You scream, tugging at your brunette locks. Your memory seems to be escaping you, and new memories seem to be settling in. You're here to save everyone, but it almost seems as if you're going insane.
It's obviously one of his tricks. There's nothing her to find, just her and him.
Nothing else.
"Come find me."
He begs one last time, but you pass it off. Your companions notice that you've been growing grumpier, and stranger as you ascend to each floor. But they don't understand, no one will.
You just have to get out of here.
The hero saves the day, gets the girl and and plans on searching for his friend. His memories have escaped, but that will be fixed in little or no time.
Because you have all the time in the world. It doesn't matter.
But what you don't understand, is that there's a bigger war brewing.
And somewhere, hidden in the deepest depths of oblivion and departure.. is a boy who was left behind.
"Come find me."
