Title: There But For The Grace
Word Count: 100 exactly
Warning: Takes place at the end of KH 3D, but only very vague spoilers. Also, what a kickass challenge. Awesome choice of prompt!


Hearing the stories of the previous generation was harder than Riku had expected. He had always known he was lucky, in the long run. He had not realized just how much worse off he could have been.

He forced himself to breathe and open his eyes and return the looks of concern from Master Yen Sid (these are truths that must be faced), Mickey (it’s okay, I understand why you’re upset), and Sora (it’s okay now, see, we’re together).

But it was Kairi’s regard (don’t you get it, we’d go back for you, too) that was the hardest to bear.

Unfortunately I'm still avoiding 3D spoilers so I was trying not to read too deeply into this, but still I really enjoyed this. I think you captured Riku really well, especially given how short it is.
