Challenge: 3o; Silence
Title: Breaking the Silence
Word Count: 89
(anything else): Implied Lerith, per most of my other pieces, since I'm incapable of writing anything else. XD;
Aerith stood outside the doorway, her back pressed against the red wood, listening to the silence. It was always quiet at times like this. She knew what he was doing in there.
Reflecting. Remembering the reason why he’d left his name behind in Hallow Bastion. Remembering all the people he felt like he’d single-handedly failed.
He was always quiet, and she knew exactly why. But she always made sure he knew she was there, sharing the silence with him, when he finally decided he was ready to break it.
