Yuffie always did like cats in FF7, and Leon apparently has a soft spot for the dalmations. I thought then that that whole scenario would work out appropriately.
The soy milk is because if I've always felt that it would be plausible for Yuffie to be a vegetarian, and it sort of felt right for her to be drinking soy milk. I also personally prefer soy milk. Sorry if those seem like a silly reasons, but that's the way the drabble turned out.
