Staring into oblivion like a dazed lover was Sora’s only mobility now-a-days. He hardly even blinked. But it wasn’t unusual behavior, explained his assigned doctor, this was just a traumatic dispute that would soon pass.
How long that would take, nobody knew.
So Donald and Goofy continued their journey as if nothing had ever taken place, even if it went against what King Mickey wrote in his letter.
What Sora knew was the heartless they destroyed every day weren’t only living shadows, but living hearts of children, women, and men. They’ve killed residents of Wonderland, Agrabah, Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion, and countless other worlds. Riku taught him shadows were manipulated to disguise and cover-up.
Clothe the civilians and leave behind a body replica. Those were Ansem’s orders to the darkness. He was always a twisted man. Make the keyblade hero think he was saving people, but unknowingly he was killing them. It saved Ansem time and work.
All Sora ever wished for was to see Kairi smile again -- to bring her home. But now… now he couldn’t do anything more, for he had slaughtered her, also.
