Title - Twinkle Twinkle
Word Count - 280
Note - Takes place anywhere between the time Sora recieves this certain keychain but before End of the World. Enjoy! ^^
Star light star bright…
The small ornament in shape of a five-sided star, no bigger than what could fit in his palm, lightly jingled to-and-fro on the chain, swinging before his eyes like a pendulum. Its golden sheen reflected like any normal spark in the night sky, though at this current moment in time it’s a wee bit hard to determine since the clouds above blocked out what lightshow there would be to see tonight.
The first star I see tonight…
“Hyuck! What’cha lookin’ at, Sora?”
Starting from his trance, the boy in question looked away from the hilt of his Keyblade to his friend, Goofy. The dog-like being sat down next to him, eyeing the same thing he had been just moments ago in curiosity. He tilted his choice weapon closer, letting the other get a better look.
I wish I may, I wish I might…
“Just something that Kairi gave me, not so long ago.”
“A new keychain? That was nice of her!”
They two of them temporarily grew silent. In that time he slowly receded back into his thoughts, his eyes trailing back to the gift. It reminded him of so many things, like when Riku carelessly threw him the paupu fruit or when he first noticed the stars disappearing in the sky.
“What’s this one’s name, Sora?”
“Hm?”
“The Keyblade, what’s it called?”
He thought about it for a second, recalling all the promises he had to keep, the battles, and the one thing his heart wanted most - to go save Riku and return to Kairi, so that they could all be together again.
“I think…I’ll call it Oathkeeper.”
