Notes: Hey... It's been a while since I last entered... Because I'm always forgetting to submit by the deadline... XD;;
Nothing much here, really. Takes place anytime on Destiny Islands. Implied SoraxKairi and RikuxKairi because I'm boring like that. XD

'There they go again,' the boy thought as he stared down from the watchtower on the beach. He looked down on two people on the beach. One boy, slightly older than him, with silvery hair; one girl, a redhead, the same age as the brunette gazing at them. They were talking, sitting on the makeshift raft the three of them were making.

'Why?' thought Sora, sighing and resting his head on his knees. 'I mean... What's so special about Riku? Why does Kairi pay more attention... To him?' Sure, Riku was older, stronger, faster... But Sora had his good points too... Right?

Riku and Kairi were laughing together, when suddenly, Kairi looked up and saw Sora. He tried to scramble into the shadows of the watchtower, but Kairi had already spotted him. "Sora," she said teasingly. "What are you doing up there?" She noticed how he seemed withdrawn... Sora didn't usually act like that... "Hey... Are you sulking?"

"I am not!" yelled Sora irritably.

Kairi giggled. "Then why don't you come down here?"

"Fine, fine..." he grumbled as he climbed down the ladder of the watchtower and joined the other two.

"That's better," Kairi smiled. Sora turned a little red. "Oh, hold on... I think I forgot something... Be right back!" And she ran off towards the main island, leaving the two boys together.

Riku smirked at Sora. "You were sulking, weren't you?"

"Shut it," retorted Sora. "I was not."

"Oh yes you were," laughed Riku. "I've been your friend for about our whole lives, Sora. I can tell. You're jealous of me." He turned and started walking after Kairi as Sora froze up. "Kairi, wait up!" He looked back at Sora. "And stop pouting," he grinned, and ran up to Kairi.

Sora glared at Riku's back. "... Who does he think he is? Argh..." And he ran after his two friends. '... How did he know about me being jealous of him? ... Is it really that obvious...?'

EDIT: Changed my av so this wouldn't get deleted... I forgot that it was from the KH2 ending FMV. >___

poor Sora...being left out.... but this situation isn't something I haven't read before--normally it's Riku being the one who's the "third wheel" or however you put it. yay! new things are awesome!

Hehe, that's what I was aiming for. Sure, there's always stories about angsty!Riku and how he's jealous of Sora and Kairi... But what about Sora's side of the story? Like, during those times he sees Riku with Kairi, wouldn't he feel the same?
... Man, my stories are always about the Sora vs. Riku rivalry. XDDD

everyone gets jealous! so yes, Sora would feel the same way! and rivalry's fun! hehe
