Notes; Heavily influenced by a scene in Kingdom Hearts 2. The drabble itself isn't spoilery if you haven't seen said scene though, so~ Enjoy.

You don’t know how to dance, but that’s not a problem, because this isn’t real and it’s not you that’s dancing, so you can stare and forget and think that it’s just the two of you. Never mind how much you’ve changed, she stays the same, the shining example of what you fight for.

Or maybe she is changing, but you just can’t see. You have to hope – and hope is something you’ve become a master at, just like how well you’ve become at finding the heart in every thing you touch – that she hasn’t and that when you go home, or even when you catch up to her – when did she get so far ahead? – that she still keeps her word.

But by then you’ve blinked and you’re not dancing anymore, the snow melting and freezing at your awkward feet, and you realise, it’s time to go.
