Summary: Sora gets a bit nostalgic before bedtime.

"You look tired."

Riku nodded once, rubbing at his eye. "Yeah…a little."

"You should go to bed."

Riku stretched his arms in an arc over his head while he yawned. "Yeah…"

Sora smiled to himself. "You're pretty open to suggestion when you're tired."

Riku blinked tiredly in reply, stripping of his regular clothes and pulling on a pair of pajama pants. He muttered to himself as he bent over to tie the drawstrings on his pants and his hair tickled his eyes.

Sora watched, pulling his legs under him to sit on the bed. "Your hair's getting too long. You should cut it."

Riku, despite his tiredness, gave Sora a pointed look, letting him exactly what he thought about that suggestion. He stood back up straight, flicking his hair back over his shoulder.

"Here," Sora patted the space next to him. "Sit down, I'll braid your hair."

Riku gave Sora a confused look.

"Mou… don't give me that look. Just sit. I don't want to wake up with a mouthful of your hair again."

Riku sat on the edge of the bed, his back to Sora.

Sora put his hands in Riku's hair, finger combing the strands a few times in silence before separating them into three sections, placing one over the other.

"Where did you learn to braid hair?" Riku asked, startling Sora for a split second with the sudden question.

"Aeris taught me. She had just gotten out of the shower and Yuffie was off somewhere and she asked me if I would braid her hair for her. I told her I didn't know how and she laughed and said, 'I'll teach you'."

Riku smiled to himself. "Sounds like a nice memory…"

"Yeah," Sora nodded, staring at Riku's hair, his fingers pausing. "After that, Yuffie came back soaking wet and Aeris gave her a lecture about not antagonizing Leon. I forgot all about it until just now. Then, Leon came back, gave her another lecture and apologized for pushing her in the fountain." He paused again, getting lost in his memory. "I don't really remember what happened after that, but for some reason, Cid started cursing and Donald hit him with a freeze spell to get him to shut up."

Sora put his hands back on Riku's hair, finishing his braid. "Sorry… got all nostalgic there for a moment."

Riku smiled softly at him. "It's alright. Let's go to bed."

Sora nodded, climbing in bed in his regular clothes.
