Kairi hated school dances. Not because she didn’t like to dance, and definitely not because she couldn’t find someone to go with. No, Kairi hated dances for an entirely different reason.
She didn’t like them because all the girls who went didn’t like her.
Every dance, girls would line up for the chance to ask Riku to be their date, only to have him turn them down without a second thought. As if that weren’t bad enough, Sora was always next in line. Prince Charming’s cute best friend would be a good catch too, if only he would consider the many possibilities.
By now it should be no surprise that Kairi didn’t like dances because of the glares she would receive when she walked in the door with not only Riku by her side, but Sora as well. She sighed, knowing that every time this happened she lost another friend.
However, as bad as that seemed, she couldn’t bring herself to put a stop to it. After all, it was every girl’s dream to find their Prince Charming, and she liked being able to say that she had found two.
