The Funkiest Chicken
After the hours and hours he'd spent trying to teach his uncoordinated best friend how to dance, Riku was absolutely horrified by what Sora was doing. Kairi was laughing so hard, she looked like she was about to fall down.
Meanwhile, Sora moved jerkily around the dance floor, bobbing his head and scratching the ground like a mechanical chicken on quaaludes. The whole school was staring at him.
Riku couldn't take it anymore. He stepped out in front of Sora and put a stop to it with one hand on dangerously spiky hair. "Sora, what the hell is that? That's not what I taught you!"
"I know!" his friend grinned, oblivious. "It's this new dance Wakka showed me this morning." He started to flap his elbows again in time to the music. "He said all the cool kids are doing it. It's called the Metal Chocobo!"
Riku was speechless. And Wakka was dead meat.

Date: 2006-03-15 05:48 pm (UTC)I really enjoy Riku's absolute disgust and horror at the travesty that Sora is perpetrating. It's like he's terrified that since he taught Sora how to dance this is going to reflect badly on him. I think Riku is like that. It amuses me.
I love the last line and I think Wakka is perfectly capable both of evil jokes and of being a terrible dancer.
Aww, you always leave such nice comments.

But considering the keychain in question...not sure how you could do it straight.

That's probably true.
My Riku muse has gotten so big, I don't always think about what he does in my mind anymore, I just write it.
It amuses me.
Ditto. ^^

XD I agree. Or of being enough of an ass to make up such a dance, anyway. *beans him with a blitz ball*
