Title: Watery Prison

Do you feel the same way I feel? Do you long for your island the same way I long for my shady spot beneath the leaves of what was once your favorite thinking spot?

 

Your friends, do you miss them the way I miss my group that made that shady place home?

 

Your hopes and your dreams, were they cast away the same way mine were when I was plucked, passed on, and then carelessly tossed into this watery prison to float forever, forgotten, on the bottom.

 

From the darkness I can see glimmers of sunshine, glimpses of my friends, and in this silence, I imagine the whispers I used to hear about what happens when I’m shared with another.

 

And as I float I wonder if you’re like me, always seeing that what you want is within the reach of your fingertips, but never being able to grab it.
