They're supposed to be the window to the soul, anime characters' come in a range of colours not found in nature, and I know that even on days where I haven't washed my hair or forgot to do my ironing, and trundle out of the house looking like a bag lady, I still wouldn't go out without slapping a bit of shadow and mascara on mine.
