Title; Mousetrap.
Challenge; Consequences.
Word Count; 249
Spoilers; Only for the ending of KHI. And in advance, I'm sorry for being terminally silly.
Looking back, Mickey should have known better. Destiny Islands was a remote enough world that they didn't have much of a stock of talking animals. And certainly, no Mice Kings. Still, he owed Sora this, and his parents should know what a hero he was. Kingdom Hearts couldn't hold the King for very long, and he knew that Sora was nowhere near making his way home yet. So off he went, to comfort and console.
Mickey knocked on the door, rocking back and forth on his yellow shoes, whistling under his breath.
"EEEEK! MOUSE!" Sora's mother ran to the kitchen, screaming for her husband to help squish him. Seeing as Mickey hadn't make it back from the Heart of All Worlds to be exterminated, he of course began to explain.
"No, no, no! You got it all wrong, honest!" He waved his arms, but this seemed to only make Sora's father more concerned, and now the man was armed with a broom. A big one.
There was a lot of squealing, scurrying and general attempts at homicide, but in the end, all Mickey could manage was a memory spell. It would wear off when Sora got home, and they'd remember everything at that point, but still Mickey was discontent. After all, he hadn't expected a near-death experience. But there were consequences for every action, even for just being a mouse.
"Hmph," Mickey thought to himself, shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked down the front steps. "People."
