This was the day he was going to Leave, no longer would he stay and act as just a toy for a game that he believed even the Superior fully understood.

"Your mind's made up?"

He stopped walking when he heard Axel's voice, and just above it the sound of approaching rain and thunder sounded heavily in the sky just like a signal that he should get going. He looked down at the ground and thought briefly of his encounter with the other Unknown, who questioned him about the very thing he wanted to know. He asked in turn to Axel why he was stuck with such a weapon and that he had to know. No longer did he want the half-ass answers the Superior or even VII gave him.
Axel's reaction surprised him though, the red head looked distraught, convincing enough and it made him pause. If they truly had hearts, he guessed his might have ached at that moment.

"If you get on their bad side and they'll destroy you!"

He steeled his resolve and dared a short glance over his shoulder.

"No one would miss me." He blocked out whatever Axel had to say next and continued to walk into the dark abyss of the street. He'd deal with the consequences later.

And he did deal with it later, though much farther down the road then he initially thought. Later on, or rather The 1st Day he woke up in the same old room he'd always had, with the view of Twilight Town and remembered he was going to meet up with Hayner, Pence and Olette. The strange thoughts and dreams he had been having fading away as he went to hurry up to go outside and play, as his mom chided him in the kitchen.
And even further and deeper away, DiZ worked hard at his computer, his silent comrade standing at his shoulder looking over the screens. Quietly they worked in a quiet happenstance relationship with Naminé to reconnect Sora’s memories. And Axel deal with the proceedings and later then punishment for letting him get away.
The consequences of his actions though, were not truly felt until one day Axel came back for his old friend and discovered a confused, almost hostile boy who had no idea what he was or what he wanted. And he couldn't help but think about the warning he had given about getting on the Organization's bad side. And deep inside a large looking egg/flower someone stirred.
