divine_rose so I'll take a stab at this writing thing, be gentle, it's my first time ^.^
Theme: Paopu
Title: Forever Gone
Word Count: 184
Warnings: Riku/Sora?
He stood alone on the black and broken island which he used to call home. The thin palm trees lay broken on the cold sand, their frawns strewn along the sea bitten shore. He looked around, his aqua-marine eyes scanning the lonely island. No one was there.
He walked up the shore and came to the grove where the paopu trees used to grow. As he'd expected, he found them in ruin, all except one. One lone tree stood tall against the black sky. A single, plump, ripe, yellow star-shaped fruit grew on its vine. Hope swelled up in him then and he climbed the tree to fetch the precious fruit.
He cradled it in his strong arm and remembered the smiling brunet youth whom he had grown to love. Holding the fruit close to his heart he gazed up at the ominous sky and sighed. Sora. How wrong everything had been with the world since he had disappeared, from it. Riku gazed at the paopu fruit in his hand and regretted the loose of the one he never got to share it with.
