Title: Nobody
Word Count: 163
Spoilers: Twilight Town in KH2 - so just the beginning. After that, you're safe.
Notes: This is my first drabble for this place, so I hope it's alright. I was really inspired by the challenge this time ^^.


It’s not real – this world where you live - it’s digitized, impersonated, completely fake. It never existed at all, made for you. DiZ created it, you know, created it so that you would get your memories back. So that you could go back and be part of Sora and we’d have the real hero to save the world.

You see your friends? They aren’t really your friends. They’re not really there, and in reality, they have no idea who you are. You are nothing to them. Nobody.

The only friend you had in the world was him, and now you’ve forgotten him. Oh, he’s heartbroken alright, except he doesn’t have a heart. Neither of you do. You’re both roaming around without hearts, and you can’t feel, so don’t even pretend that any of this really effects you.

A created life for you. It would feel empty to anyone else. But not for you. So who are you?

You are XIII. You are Nobody.

It's already been commented on, but I'll just second what other people are saying. Your voice is great. It's not even that it's second person, it's the overall tone of that voice, you know? I like that it poses questions (You see your friends? They aren't really your friends.) and is so conversational and slightly condescending, which works, I think. And you stuck right to the theme. Great job!

Thank you so much! I've really just begun to experiment with voices, and I like the conversational tone - whether in first person or second. I really appreciate that someone else can see exactly what I had seen when I was writing this ^^.

I like the way that you take up the topic of a digitized world. It must have been a terrible blow to realize that everything you knew and loved was false. It reminds me of Tidus in FFX discovering things about Zanarkand.

I like the way that you have written this in the second person. It's a daring move, but I think thet it works well here since Roxas has such an incomplete personality and since he must feel so alone. he's talking to himself because he realizes that all he can trust to be real is himself and not even that since he's never been meant to exist. But he's also talking to us out of his bitterness, wanting the reader to feel what he feels.

I like the way that your language isn't overly complex or flowery, but rather fairly stark and simple. The final line is well written.
