Challenge - [71] Castles
Title - Down and Down
Word Count - 221
Notes - Ya know, I think this is my first Demyx drabble. Ever. o.O;
Demyx decided today, with all the conviction he could muster, that the Underworld had to be the creepiest, crawliest place in the entire universe. Which was pretty bad, considering he’d resided in the Castle That Never Was for more than two-thirds of his…nobody-ness, nonexistence, whatever.
Huddling inside his over-large sleeves and hood, he clutched at his shoulders as he made his way towards the oh-so-welcoming skull-shaped fortress in the center of the place. Once he was close enough to smell his impending doom coming from the entrance, he paused to give the place a long once-over, eyes starting at the very top. Those smoky, vehement green eyes, that dark, sinister black color, and those sharp, straight rows of teeth… It was understandable that he shuddered.
“This is so wrong in so many ways. Even Xemnas has a better decorator than this guy. Would it kill him to lighten up a little? Maybe some flowers – people get bouquets at funerals, so it’s not like they would be too out of place,” he muttered to himself.
After a moment of standing around eyeing the thing, he shook himself, as if he were simply discarding his body’s anxiousness, and trudged onward. The sooner he got that stupid medallion, the sooner he could finish the mission.
That’s when he heard the sounds of dogs barking.
