He visited Sora out of some dull ache of obligation.

Dark skin and yellow eyes shot themselves back from the glass every time; it was the one thing he could never avoid. His reflection always startled him at first, if only for an unnoticeable fraction of a moment.

A moment of weakness, he reminded himself. What a joke. All this time wanting to be big and grown up, and here he finally had the chance. Before him, the outlines of a man gleamed sharply. He stood tall and strong next to that stupid pod and wanted to smash it to pieces.

Oh, Julz... This is fantastic. You capture...everything that needs to be said in a mere 100 words, including Riku's persona and motivates and he's so in character and guh... Beautiful. So entirely out of your usual scope, and beautiful. Yay for 100-word drabbles!
