kh_drabbleChallenge: Ever After
Title: tré limone
Word Count: 147
Notes: Erm...one could argue that this is Ari at her best/worst, having lost her mind to a bottle of lemonade (er...'A Dry Sparkling Lemon Drink') Also set after KH and CoM, so this is when all's said and done and Riku is back on Destiny Islands.
He looks at the bottle, a pale teal colour. The writing is in another language, a language meant to make the drink seem superiour to a mere islander.
But he twists the silver lid off and takes a swig.
Almost immediately his tongue slides out from his mouth, attempting to get the almost spicy taste of the ginger out of his mouth. It overbalanced the sour taste of lemons, but in a way . . . in a way, it reassures him. Continue trudging along, and that malicious taste will fade—it will become part of the drink. Just as the darkness has become a part of him. It is a part of him now, and in time, it will not matter as much as it does now. Life will continue on.
Riku tosses back his head and downs half the bottle in one drink.
The ginger is starting to fade.
