Title: Magic Lessons-Part 1 of 5
Word Count: 284
Notes: This five part thingy was inspired by
reversedhymnal's 'Murder 101' and some of the comments on it.
"Sparring with magic?"
"Yeah. It's not hard. You only put enough into the spell for it to be felt, but not really enough to do any damage. Well, that goes for the spells that are meant to do damage, anyway."
Kairi fixed Sora with a stern look. He shrugged and put his hands up behind his head, pretending he didn't know that he didn't look as innocent he seemed to be attempting.
"I don't know."
"It's the best way to practice the spells you've learned. I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to. But think about it."
She couldn't argue that point. It would help to practice a little, but he seemed to be forgetting that he'd taught her some fairly painful spells. Then again, she had also learned some other spells from Donald the last time he and Goofy had come to visit and it might be fun to surprise Sora with them. The image of him under the effects of one spell in particular made her giggle.
"Now what does mean, Kairi? What's so funny?"
"Nothing, Sora."
"Nothing, huh? How about this?" He pulled a funny face, pushing his nose up so that it looked like a pig's nose and crossing his eyes. It wasn't quite as amusing as the mental picture she was entertaining, but she laughed anyway.
"Just don't let it freeze that way."
"No, that wouldn't be fun," he said thoughtfully, returning to a more normal expression, "Anyway, what do you say?"
"I say it might be fun, but not today. We do have some homework to do."
That put a sour look on his face, but it was fleeting.
"Tomorrow then?" he said hopefully.
"Sure."

Okay, so part 1 is mostly a bit of interaction. This is the first I've written Kairi.
I should have the next part up tomorrow.
